Dr. Malaz Boustani is a senior implementation scientist with extensive experience conducting implementation research focused on developing tools, processes, and strategies to rapidly implement evidence-based, cost-effective healthcare solutions in the real world. He is the Founding Director of the Regenstrief Center for Health Innovation and Implementation Science and the Sandra Eskenazi Center for Brain Care Innovation.
Over the past decade, Dr. Boustani has built a clinical laboratory of more than 2,000 ambulatory practices serving at least 10 million lives within five Midwestern States (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky). He has used this clinical laboratory to train implementation scientists and has developed a graduate certificate in Innovation and Implementation Science to provide the country with transformational agents who are skilled in building learning health care systems. Dr. Boustani developed, evaluated, and implemented the collaborative dementia care model in primary care that has become the standard of dementia care in central Indiana and across the world.
