To embrace a data-driven culture that spurs value creation and greater efficiencies, organizations must possess resources skilled in data and analytics. Creating and sustaining this resource presents a real challenge. This panel, featuring expert faculty from Rose-Hulman, will identify existing gaps in client skill sets, essential skills to get employees started on Big Data, ways and mechanisms to train existing employees for success in the Big Data space. During the panel, Rose-Hulman faculty will also layout their vision for a new major in Data Science at Rose- Hulman this coming fall, and their vision for the role that industry should play in shaping the education of future Big Data professionals.
